The Homecoming of Texas
Texas has many festivals, but there’s only one that’s known as the Homecoming for the State of Texas. Taking place in one of the oldest Texas towns, the St. Louis Day Festival celebrates the history of Castroville. The Texas town was settled in 1844 by French immigrants and proudly shows its heritage through the architecture, traditions and food. Visitors can step back in time to the Castro Colonies living History Center and see what life was like in the 1840s-1870s.
