Huzzah to the 49th Texas Renaissance Festival
By order of the realm, it’s time to throw your cares and enjoy the 49th Annual Texas Renaissance Festival. You’ll be transported to a 16th century English Village. So, you’ll have to look the part. You can dress in traditional renaissance clothing from shops like Boss Wench. You can also dress the part for one of the themed weekends like “Pirate Adventure”, “Barbarian Invasion”, and “All Hallow’s Eve”.
Sitting on 70 acres, there’s plenty to do. Taste the oldest fermented beverage known to man with a RenMean Mead Tasting, or Haak Wines, the Official Wine Sponsor, at Odin’s Table. Enjoy dinner and a show at places like the Thirsty Pirate & Polish Pub. Watch knights compete to win the Queen’s highest prize, and you can even ride the Queen’s horse in Hanlon-Lees Action Theatre. End your night with a unique fire performance show called Solar Rain & Royal Fireworks.
The fun kicks off weekends starting October 7 and runs through November 26, plus Thanksgiving. This is one Texas event you need to put on your bucket list.
