Yes, it’s pronounced Bur-nee, not Bourne. This isn’t a Matt Damon spy movie.

Did you know that the town of Boerne is named after a German author who wrote about the promising territory back in the day? 150 years after the town was established, folks can explore this perfect weekend getaway, located just outside of San Antonio. From farmers markets to historical landmarks — and a whole lot of ducks — there’s plenty to see in the Texas Hill Country.

For instance, start off the day with a latte and meal at The Dienger Trading Co. then step into their shop for one-of-kind home décor and clothing items. Need a place to stay? Look no further than The Kendall. This boutique hotel has a number of luxury suites that pairs perfectly with the Hill Country ambience. You don’t even have to go far for dinner. Located within the Kendall is Peggy’s on the Green. Sit outdoors for an exquisite dinner for a lovely evening in downtown Boerne.

To find out more about the city of Boerne, head one over to their website.
