Relaxing in Style in Costa Mesa
Our trip to Costa Mesa, California showed us Texans how to relax in style. This spot in Orange County introduced us to some of the best food and shopping on the West Coast.
We got our day started with delicious caramel apple french toast at Old Vine Cafe, voted one of the best brunch spots in Orange County. For lunch, we hit up Crack Shack, had dinner at Vaca for some Spanish style food and even had an olive oil tasting at We Olive. But all that food didn’t stop us from getting dessert at Travel and Leisure magazines number one spot for milkshakes, The Straw. Of course, like any good Texan, we had to grab some beer at Gunwhale Brewery before we head out to get our fill of art at Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
If you’re looking for some good spots to shop in the Golden State, you have a couple of different options. L.A.B. (aka Little American Business) is filled with tons of boutiques, live music and art. But, if you’re in the mood for more traditional shopping, check out South Coast Plaza. This place has the highest concentration of retailers on the West Coast including our favorite spot for relaxation, Fresh.
