Viva Fiesta, San Antonio!
This week we partnered with Texas Humor’s Jay Saucedo to explore San Antonio’s largest celebration, Fiesta. What began as one parade in 1891, has morphed into 11 days of city-wide events, parades, and concerts. Besides visiting all of the local food vendors, the most popular tradition of Fiesta is collecting unique medals from all the events. Fiesta is run by the Fiesta SA Commission and about 75,000 volunteers. The event attracts around 3 million participants and gives back to non-profits in the community. Fiesta truly is a party with a purpose.
