A Taste of Helotes
If you’ve ever been to Helotes, you’ve probably heard of El Chaparral. For 50 years, El Chaparral has been filling the stomachs of locals and guests with Tex-Mex cuisines and margaritas. Try the Valerie’s Special, a local favorite combined with a cheese enchilada and a portion of fajitas served with rice and the famous bean soup. Wash it all down with the signature El Chaparral Margarita.
Just down the road is a craft brewery called Busted Sandal Brewing Co. At this local beer garden, sip on ales and suds that represent the City of Helotes. The Hill Country Lager pays homage to the town’s namesake by using corn flake in the brewing process. Other favorites are the Jeffeweizen and J Hazy IPA.
Grab a pint or a margarita and raise a glass to Helotes. For more on Helotes, check out our full episode.
