An Iconic Texas Honky Tonk
If you are a fan of country music, there is a good chance you know Floore’s Country Store in Old Town Helotes. Anyone who’s anyone has played at Floore’s. It’s kind of a rite of passage. Since 1942, artists of all genres have come to perform at the iconic Honky Tonk. Names like Bob Wills, Patsy Cline, B.B. King, and Elvis Presley. Willie Nelson was a reoccurring guest most Saturday nights early on.
History runs deep here. To put it into perspective, the City of Helotes was officially established in 1981. John T. Floore Country Store opened doors in 1942. It’s the focal point of town and YOLO TX saved the best for last.
