Lost Maples & Meteors Night Sky Fest | Bandera, TX
Celebrate 100 years of Texas State Parks and Wildlife with the Cowboy Capital of Texas, Bandera! In honor of the monumental year, each Texas State Park will host a celebratory event focusing on preserving and maintaining nature.
Lost Maples State Natural Area threw a Maples & Meteors Night Sky Fest where guests learned all about the night sky as well as the animals that come out at night. There was also solar viewing, local contributors, and family-friendly activities.
The park invited guests to stay for a Star Party which happened to fall on the peak of the Perseid Meteor shower. The surrounding mountains succeed in blocking the light pollution from San Antonio and Kerrville which gave stargazers the ultimate viewing party!
