Celebrating McAllen’s Culture at MXLAN
What does MXLAN stand for? MXLAN is a word formed by Mexico in Aztlan, which is the first city formed in Mexico. This five-day festival held in McAllen, celebrates just that – the Mexican & Latin American heritage that embodies the Rio Grande Valley.
Over 150 artisans express their culture through art while painting wall murals live on site. Chef Larry Delgado, known for beating Bobby Flay, represents the RGV through food. Best served family-style. What encapsulates it all, the music. Latin performers makeup the entire music lineup of the event.
This year’s MXLAN festival takes place July 28th-July 30th, 2023! See you there!
