Spring is here and that means that the Poteet Strawberry Festival is right around the corner. The small town of Poteet has been putting on the fruity festival since 1948 and has since become a tradition. The festival is now one of the largest in the great state of Texas and earned Poteet the title of Strawberry Capital of Texas. The festival brings in a variety of people from all around the state and for a variety of reasons. But there is one reason that everybody can agree on – it just feels like Texas.

At the festival, you can find your typical rides, games and food. Of course, this festival includes a lot more strawberry-topped items than any others. If you are feeling brave enough, you can get a quick helicopter ride while you are on your way into town. The ride is just quick enough to give you a great look at the festival ground before it is overflowing with Texans.
