If you’re an aviation enthusiast, the airfield in Uvalde is the place to soar to. The Texas town is globally known for its unique thermos, which helps propel gliders plane during the annual 15-Meter and Open Class Nationals. The soaring glider competition lasts 6 hours and is based on speed and distance. On the ground, spectators can visit the collection of WWII memorabilia at Aviation Museum in the original Garner Army Air Field hangar and check out a collection of warbirds at Huff Air.

Join us as we walk through Main Street Uvalde, other wise known as the Crossroads of America, for a great night out on 4 Square Friday! These monthly fun Friday nights showcase all that downtown Uvalde has to offer. You’ll need to take a break after all the shopping, so check out the Uvalde Grand Opera House for beautiful performances and maybe a ghost or two! And of course you can’t visit Uvalde during the Halloween season without taking part in a costume contest or ghost tour! With so much to offer, Main Street Uvalde is the perfect place to enjoy with your family!
